Safe Kids Greater Naugatuck Valley is part of
Safe Kids Connecticut and works to prevent childhood injury in the greater Naugatuck Valley. We serve the communities of Woodbury, Southbury, Oxford, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Seymour, Woodbridge, Ansonia, Derby, and Orange. Safe Kids Greater Naugatuck Valley was founded in 2005 and is led by
Valley Parish Nurses and
Griffin Hospital.
We work with law enforcement, fire departments, EMS organizations, hospitals, educators, government agencies and volunteers to educate and protect families. Our mission is to provide education, programming and awareness about preventable injuries.
Safe Kids Greater Naugatuck Valley and its partners have
distributed child safety supplies and educational materials to raise awareness regarding this number one threat to children: unintentional injury. We cover a variety of issues including:
